Message of Support and Appreciation -
The IAABO staff salutes the men and women of our Armed Forces! As the final
stages of an exciting basketball season ended here in America, thousands
of our finest sons and daughters in uniform were called to duty to a far-away land to protectand defend our cherished individual freedoms. With profound national pride,
we watched in awe – hour-by-hour – how they conducted themselves
with inspired courage, precision, and resolve. Their triumph in battle, although
earned with |
great personal sacrifice, is our collective victory. And for
this, we shall never forget and will forever show our sincere gratitude.
Several IAABO members are current or former members of our Armed Forces;
and every IAABO member has a loved one or knows of someone that continues
to serve our great nation. We are on the same team, so naturally our thoughts
were always – and will continue to be – with these dedicated
patriots. We at home are extremely proud of their spirit and determination,
and look forward in welcoming them back to their home court. Indeed, we have
much to be thankful for! God Bless America!

Make a Difference, “Blow The Whistle on Cancer”
A huge three-pointer at the whistle thanks goes out to all IAABO Officials and IAABO Boards who have donated to the Make a Difference - “Blow Your Whistle on Cancer” campaign. To date, IAABO has received donations and pledges in excess of $39,421. For the first time since the inception of the campaign, IAABO was contacted and requested to be a part of the campaign. Officials were requested to donate up to 25% of a game fee during the week of January 27th – February 2nd, 2008. Officials who participated in the event blew blue and pink whistles during the week in an attempt to bring awareness to the campaign. A “Blow Your Whistle on Cancer” donation presentation will be held at the Men’s Final Four in San Antonio, Texas. IAABO should be proud of their commitment to make a difference in the crusade against cancer.
