Throw-in Frontcourt Sideline

The Lead shall administer sideline throw-ins when the designated spot is below the free throw line extended on the Lead’s sideline. The Lead remains on the end line and bounces the ball to the thrower. This floor mechanic is used just after the ball is deflected out-of-bounds by the defense, to resume play without requiring the Lead to become the new Trail to administer the throw-in.
If a time-out is granted or an unusual delay occurs, the crew does have the option for the Lead to become the new Trail to administer the throw-in along the sideline. In this case, the Trail would become the new Lead along the end line.
