The 2009 IAABO Fall Seminar will be held in Cleveland , Ohio , September 10 – 13, 2009.  The seminar is being hosted by the IAABO Board No. 55, Lake Erie District Board. They are ready to provide everyone with an enjoyable and rewarding weekend!  Seminar headquarters will be at the Holiday Inn, Independence , which features 364 newly renovated deluxe guestrooms. It is one of the largest full service hotels in the Cleveland area and is conveniently located 15 minutes from Cleveland Hopkins International Airport and just minutes south of downtown at the crossroads of I-480 & I-77.  Reservations may be made by calling 1.800.325.3535.  Be sure to ask for the “IAABO Rate” of $109.00.  Reservations must be made by August 10, 2008 to ensure space and availability. The Fall Seminar is the most important meeting that we conduct, and we are asking that your interpreter represent you.  We are organizing meaningful presentations on important topics including the Federation and NCAA rule changes, 2 & 3 person mechanics, and bread and butter rulings. We are also excited about sharing with you new materials that will enhance the instruction you provide at your local board meetings. Please urge your interpreter to attend.

Hospitality Room - Topping off your day and evening of enjoyment will be the traditional “IAABO Roger J. Sheridan Hospitality Room”, named after the famed IAABO Past President (1965-66) from the State of Vermont.  The hospitality room will be the place for everyone to renew old friendships and to make many new ones.

The Roger J. Sheridan Hospitality Room will be open to IAABO members and their guest as follows:

IAABO, Inc. will provide a continental breakfast in the Hospitality Suite Thursday through Sunday mornings. The Hospitality Suite will not be open during the Interpretation Sessions.

Special Event - On Friday, September 11, 2009, plan on attending “IAABO Night @ the Indians” when the Cleveland Indians take on the Kansas City Royals. Click here to view and print a registration form. The registration deadline for this event is August 28, 2009.

Spouse/Guest Breakfast - On Sunday morning, September 13th, the annual Spouse/Guest Breakfast will take place.  This is a great opportunity for your spouse/guest to meet others members of the IAABO family.  The registration deadline for this event is August 28, 2009. Golf Tournament - For early arrivals, a Golf Tournament will be held on Thursday, September 10th, at one of Ohio ’s best golf courses, the Pine Hills Country Club.  The cost of the golf outing is $110 and will include a continental breakfast and dinner at the conclusion of the golf. Many prizes will be awarded, so come out and set up some matches with your neighboring boards.  Golfing will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start.  There will be various contests on the course with prized being offered for each one.
